Eagles-The Dynasty that should have been.

Since 2000, super bowl or not, the Philadelphia Eagles have been the most dominating team in the NFL. From having the most highest winning percentage in the NFL, to having one of the elite quarterback in the league, and to having one of the most obliterating defenses in the League, through it all, the Eagles lacked one thing-wide receivers. With only having one 1000 yard reception wide receiver since 1996, besides Owens, the Philadelphia Eagles lacked having wide receivers. McNabb has made a name for himself in the league, making less than 3rd string wide receivers look like superstars, and getting his team to the NFC Conference Championship 4 years in a row. Eagles have proved they are the team to beat. Through it all, you wonder, what could the Eagles have been with two true starting wide receivers? What could they be with a true leader, a true franchise wide receiver, a true play maker? What could they be if they had Chad Johnson, Randy Moss, or Steve Smith? I'll tell you one word which could describe it perfectly-A dynasty.

McNabb has never had any receivers. You have to wonder, what could the front office be thinking? Through the drought of the Philadelphia Eagles, not having a championship in 47 years, you would think the front office would be hungry to get the fans what they have long awaited for-a super bowl. The Eagles would have had no problem getting a super bowl ring. After all, they were only 2 games away for 4 years in a row. But there was one thing that kept the front office from getting them what they want-money.

The front office saw that the eagles just nearly getting there every year was making them more than enough, and they thought thats exactly what the fans wanted, to get there. The fans could care less about getting there, winning it was there main objective. The front office saw no signs of failure. The money was at an all time high, and so was their fans. Jerseys were being bought, tickets were being sold, they could care less what happened to the franchise itself. Could the Eagles have won 3 superbowls with the proper weapons? I would say so. You never know. It just wasn't Philadelphia's time. The Eagles, although not getting a super bowl, accomplished alot in only 6 years, more than they have their whole 75 years. Any Eagles fan should be proud, and continue to root for the Eagles. It's not about how many fans, or how many super bowls. It's about passion, and in my book, Eagles lead the league in that, and will always continue to, along with the fans.
